I have recently been appointed to the Board of Dutch NGO NIZA, in association with ActionAid. NIZA (Netherlands Institute for South Africa) has strong origins in the Anti-Apartheid and Solidarity movements of South Africa. Today they are engaged in campaigns that involve the whole of the continent and have recently associated themselves with the international anti-poverty agency ActionAid.

Last weekend I attended the International Assembly Meeting of ActionAid in Rome and met people from across the globe that work for the agency at all levels. I was really impressed with all the intelligent people i met and the organisation of the event. From a business perspective it is really interesting to join an NGO and i’m looking forward to contributing to the group and establishing a link between companies and Trimedia.
