A New Font For A Better Environment

Posted on 6.10.2009 by Vera Lange

Old Netherlands: The country of the holey cheese. New Netherlands: The country of the holey fonts! The so called “Sprang Eco Sans” is a new font from the Dutch company Sprang and they have the guts to gaps: Little hollows in the letters cause a reduction of printing ink of up to one-fifth. This saves resources and money.

Alexander Kraaij, co-owner of Sprang, has calculated, that a company with 5.000 employees can save up to EUR 90.000 printing costs when everyone is using the new eco font. Not to mention the benefits for our environment.

Those, who want to try it out, can download the font for free at www.ecofont.eu
