Lunch with a backbench MP. An honest man, still hugely upset by the damage of the UK expenses scandal and feels good people have been unfairly tarnished. Second MP in days with whom I have had this discussion - both are leaving the House of Commons at the election for very different reasons and also in sadness. Fin de siecle certainly applies to this Parliament. Whenever the British election comes, April or May, what bravehearts will stand before us on that new dawn?
