Posted 12.01.2010

Fred Muir has been appointed CEO of the Los Angeles office of Rose & Kindel, a Grayling Company. In that capacity, he will manage the firm's long-standing public affairs services and will also establish the Los Angeles office of Grayling, expanding the firm's public relations capacity in California. Fred, until last week the Southern California Chairman of Burson-Marsteller, has a distinguished career in public affairs and media relations and a deep knowledge of Los Angeles and California politics, government and civic institutions.

Carl London will assume the title and responsibilities of CEO of the Sacramento office, and Marcey Brightwell will continue as Director of the Grayling public relations offering in Sacramento. Carl has been with our firm in Sacramento for 14 years and the office will continue to go from strength to strength under his direction.

Cristina Rose, who co-founded Grayling's Public Affairs and lobbying business in California and which still operates under the Rose & Kindel as well as Grayling brands, assumed the role of Senior Counsel in November 2009, to provide strategic direction to the firm, identify the new management team and implement the transition. With the transition complete, Cristina will focus more on providing strategic direction to the firm and client projects.
