Russia’s TVEL Corporation Re-appoints Grayling

Grayling has been re-appointed by Russia’s TVEL Corporation to provide public relations services in four countries of Central Europe – Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia. The decision extends for a further 12 months the relationship between CEE’s leading network communications consultancy and Russia’s state-owned nuclear fuel manufacturer and supplier, which began in May 2009.
TVEL is one of the world’s leading nuclear fuel manufacturers and suppliers. Currently, TVEL supplies nuclear fuel to the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Hungary, Ukraine, Armenia, Finland, China, India, Iran. In cooperation with a foreign partner TVEL also provides services and products to Switzerland, Great Britain, Germany and Netherlands. Currently in accordance with the decision of Russian State Corporation Rosatom the Fuel Company on the basis of TVEL is being formed to enhance efficiency and competitiveness on the global market.
Chris Dobson, Group Managing Director, Grayling Central and Eastern Europe, said: “We are delighted to be extending our relationship with TVEL, which has been a valued client for over a year now, across a number of markets”.
Grayling will continue to assist TVEL in supporting its position and profile on the respective markets, mainly focusing on media relations and public affairs, while providing also activities in the field of corporate social responsibility. Grayling’s unique combination of a CEE network of offices with a strong presence on the Russian market via its Moscow office was a key factor in the decision to extend the relationship.
Ivan Dybov, TVEL Fuel Company Executive Director for Communications and Public Affairs, said: “Providing objective information about TVEL operation and relationship development with media in our partner countries is very important, especially in the view of the TVEL’s new status as a Fuel Company of Rosatom and plans to increase our share on the nuclear fuel market. We are open and ready for cooperation. Already this year together with Grayling we have been planning to outreach to media and other stakeholders in a more focused fashion”.
The campaign will be headed up by Chris Dobson and Peter Fecko, Grayling’s international account lead for the relationship.
