Grayling announces additions to its global board

Posted 25.10.2011

Global PR company Grayling has announced two new appointments to its global board chaired by Peter Chadlington. Guy Taylor, who also expands his existing responsibility for Grayling’s Middle East operations to include the Asia Pacific Region, joins the Board as does  Loretta Tobin, until recently CEO of the UK business, who has been appointed a non-executive director.

Michael Murphy, global CEO commented: “I am delighted to announce both these appointments. Guy Taylor has developed an extremely successful PR business in the Middle East which has grown strongly since the business he led became part of our group almost three years ago. It is entirely fitting that he now also takes charge of the Asia-Pacific region where we have ambitious growth plans.”

Guy has worked in the region since 1990 and in 2002 became a founding partner in the business which was acquired by Huntsworth plc (Grayling’s parent company) in 2009 after a number of years of being the group’s Middle East affiliate.

Guy commented: “We have some great clients and amazing opportunities in both the Middle East and Asia Pacific. Our focus is to build depth in our resources to provide excellent levels of service to our existing portfolio and provide a foundation for further growth. ’

Non-executive director Loretta Tobin was until recently CEO of Grayling’s UK and Ireland business, before leaving for personal family reasons. She has been with the company for 17 years. Alison Clarke took over earlier this year as CEO of UK & Ireland.

Speaking on her new appointment Loretta said: “I am delighted to be able to retain my long standing links with Grayling through this new role and very much look forward to being part of Grayling's continued success.”

In addition to Loretta Tobin and Guy Taylor, the other board members are Chairman Peter Chadlington, Alison Clarke, Sally Withey, Colin Adams, James Holland and Michael Murphy.
