Mårten Lundberg has been appointed CEO for Grayling Sweden, replacing Peter Erikson who has led Grayling’s Swedish operations (formerly Sund Kommunikation) for four and a half years. Peter will continue with Grayling as a senior advisor.

Mårten Lundberg has more than 20 years’ experience in communications, having worked both in-house and agency-side. He recently led Grayling Stockholm’s marketing and PR division and was a member of the management team. Mårten starts his new role on 1 January 2012.

Prior to Grayling, Mårten worked at Cohn & Wolfe where he was Creative Director and a member of the management team. He has created and executed many high profile campaigns; winning both Guldägg and Spinn gold awards, and been a member of the Spinn jury.

Grayling’s Global CEO, Michael Murphy commented: “Mårten has proved himself to be a highly capable and successful manager, both internally within Grayling and externally with clients. I am delighted that he has agreed to take this opportunity for a new challenge.”

Speaking on his new appointment Mårten said: “I am very excited about taking on this new and important role as CEO for Grayling Sweden. Grayling has a strong brand, broad expertise and a solid client base, this, together with the recent growth across our Swedish offices gives us a solid platform for growth.”

Peter Erikson commented: “Over my four and a half years with Grayling we have built-up a business which now successfully challenges the biggest consultant firms in the industry.  Mårten has proved himself to be an effective manager and I am confident he will take the business onto even greater success.”
