Hilton Worldwide Grows Relationship with Grayling Following Successful German Pitch

Posted 13.07.2012

Following a competitive pitch process, Hilton Worldwide has assigned its PR mandate for Germany to Grayling. As a result, the already existing relationship in European countries such as France, Ireland, Poland, Scandinavia and the Benelux region will be expanded with the important German market.

The focus of this long-term co-operation lies both in Corporate Communications and in supporting the communication of individual hotels from across Hilton Worldwide’s brand portfolio.  In Germany, Hilton Worldwide is currently present with 17 hotels of the brands Hilton Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton. Later this year, Germany’s first Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts property will open in Berlin and Munich-based PR agency, Wilde & Partner, will continue to support the hotel during this opening phase.

Grayling has appointed an executive team of four based in its Frankfurt office to manage the account.  Reporting into the Hilton Worldwide Corporate Communications team in the Europe-headquarters in Watford, United Kingdom, Grayling will also liaise directly with Olivier Harnisch, Vice President Operations Northern & Central Europe, and the respective general managers at the German hotels.

Katrina Jones, vice president, Corporate Communications Europe, Hilton Worldwide, said, “With Grayling Germany we are glad to have a new agency partner with outstanding international expertise in tourism, corporate as well as consumer PR. In Germany, the new team will be an effective support with creative and innovative PR activities for our future growth.”

Hilton Worldwide’s portfolio of six brands in Europe includes Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Hilton Hotels & Resorts, DoubleTree by Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton by Hilton.
