Global PR agency, Grayling’s CEO of Grayling UK and Ireland, Alison Clarke, has been appointed by the Public Relations Consultancy Association (PRCA) as its new board Chairman for 2012-14.
The PRCA announced news of its new leadership team at the PRCA’s 42nd annual general meeting on 22 November 2012.
Clarke said: “This is a pivotal time for PR – the industry is in its strongest state ever and increasingly is seeing the recognition it deserves for prospering during the current economic difficulties.”
Clarke will serve a two-year term and work alongside a new PRCA officer team.
Commenting on future plans for the PRCA Clarke said: “We will structure our three year plan around the Conference findings in order to ensure we are commercially fit and relevant to the needs of the industry of the future. At the heart of this, will lie a focus on continued growth in services and membership, support and drive for our Apprenticeship Scheme, and greater collaboration and co-operation with other industry bodies both at home and on the international stage.”
PRCA chief executive Francis Ingham said: “It is testimony to the continuing vibrancy and growth of the PRCA that people of this calibre are happy to run the Association. This is a stellar line up for the period 2011 to 2014. And together we will shape our PR’s future over the next few years.”
