Anna Czaplicka, a 20-year public relations veteran, has been named as General Manager of Poland accelerating Grayling’s dynamic expansion in the CEE region, where the company now has more than 170 consultants working in fifteen offices.
“Anna is an ideal fit for our CEE growth strategy,” said Jan Simunek, CEO of Grayling Central & Eastern Europe (CEE), CIS and Russia. “Anna is a strategic communications expert with a great understanding of running a PR consultancy in Poland. We are very happy to see her join our strong group of country managers across the region, who work as one team to drive growth and to ensure that the business is at the cutting edge of technological development in the communications industry.”
Anna was most recently at Weber Shandwick, where she was Managing Partner for 8 years, and has previously served in senior consultancy roles at the Polish offices of Burson-Marsteller and Hill+Knowlton Strategies. She specialises in strategic corporate communications, with broad experience in supporting leading pharmaceutical, consumer and IT firms.
Czaplicka's appointment is part of Grayling's focus on further developing its unique Central Practice Team (CPT) structure, led by Ben Petter. Grayling currently works with more than 35 clients on a multi-country basis across CEE and the CPT’s primary role is to ensure that the most important of these are being effectively coordinated, with international experts adding significant value on top of the consultancy that clients are receiving at a local level.
Grayling Poland has been present on the Polish market since 1995. It is a member of the Polish Association of PR Firms and has over 30 consultants. Some of its key clients include ArcelorMittal, BMS, BBC Worldwide, easyJet, Erste Bank, GE, Herbalife, Hilton Worldwide, Kapsch, Mars, O-I (Owens-Illinois), PARP (Polish Agency for Enterprise Development), PayPal, SanDisk, Sandoz, Sony Europe, UK Trade & Investment and Wrigley.
