JOB DESCRIPTIONS:

Account Supervisor

The Account Supervisor is responsible for managing multiple accounts ensuring client success, timely delivery and budget adherence. The Account Supervisor is also responsible for managing and growing junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as day-to-day client contact on multiple accounts of various sizes. Account may be local or in other markets across the region. Some clients may be international.
  • Be fully immersed in all aspects of running an account - strategic planning, media relations, writing press releases and pitches, coordinating quarterly reports, and helping manage budgets
  • Act as primary contact to clients, continually fostering the client-agency relationship to build trust and become a valuable resource
  • Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis; anticipate and address client’s needs
  • Aid in the new business process including idea contribution, research and proposal preparation
  • Supervise and mentor Account Executives, Coordinators and Interns

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • 4 - 5 years’ experience in PR, with at least 2 years’ in a PR agency setting
  • Experienced in managing and working on a diverse range of technology accounts
  • Experience in people management is a plus
  • Strategic, analytical thinker with the initiative to see a program through from start to finish

Senior Account Executive

The Senior Account Executive is responsible for managing workstreams on accounts of various sizes, including media relations around campaigns and launches

Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates excellent knowledge of traditional and digital media to maximize PR opportunities for clients
  • Works collaboratively with account teams to meet & exceed strategic, messaging and media outreach goals
  • Manages multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
  • Builds trusted relationships with journalists and media professionals covering their specialty/client area
  • Communicates clearly, and keeps the team and client informed on progress, ensuring expectations are managed and any issues are escalated in a timely fashion
  • Effectively writes a range of copy (internal/external) including: press releases, quotes, emails, status & contact reports, social media materials
  • Proactively keeps up to date with client-specific media, industry and digital developments and seeks to apply this knowledge in their work
  • Delivers insightful research driven by data
  • Interprets and responds to client briefs and develops effective communication strategies

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in related field and minimum two years PR agency experience
  • Strong understanding of both traditional and digital public relations
  • Existing roster of good media contacts in the consumer tech/B2B tech/financial tech space  and/or general business/markets/economics
  • Excellent grasp of clients’ marketplaces, audiences and routes to market
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Commercially aware and decisive
  • Organized with excellent time management skills
  • Personal drive and passion for the industry
  • Ability to juggle multiple and changing priorities
  • Ability to assimilate information quickly and recommend a practical response

 

Account Executive

The Account Executive is responsible for executing assignments for multiple accounts of various sizes, including media relations around campaigns and launches.

Responsibilities:

  • Effectively writes a range of copy (internal/external) including: press releases, quotes, emails, status & contact reports, social media materials
  • Executes multiple projects directed by account leads, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline adherence
  • Provides in-depth analysis into event, announcement, campaign and coverage recaps
  • Partners on development and implementation of communication strategies, plans and launches that align with client’s objectives
  • Utilizes knowledge of traditional and digital media to maximize PR opportunities, promoting the range of PR services available to clients
  • Builds trusted relationships with journalists and media professionals covering their specialism/client area and develops their external network
  • Communicates accurately and keeps the team and client informed on progress in accordance with agreed processes, ensuring expectations are managed and any issues are escalated in a timely fashion
  • Connects with colleagues from across the global Grayling network, leveraging opportunities to work together to enhance professional development and learning
  • Proactively keeps up to date with client-specific media, industry and digital developments and seeks to apply this knowledge in their work
  • Understands the relationship between client service and profitability and works within the boundaries of budgets

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • A minimum of 1 year of PR experience
  • Backround in, or affinity for, consumer tech/B2B tech/financial tech space and/or  general business/markets/economics
  • Solid media relations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience assisting with developing and executing PR plans
  • A desire to learn, improve and apply new skills and knowledge
  • Personal drive and passion for the industry
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Creative thinker and problem solver
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks and changing priorities
