Created with the support of Grayling France by two of its historical actors, Abritel-HomeAway and Clevacances, the UNPLV now brings together more than 90% of the rental vacation sector’s traditional actors and Internet platforms. The Association aims at promoting an historical sector for decades – holiday rental – that was able to succeed in its digital transformation, defending holiday rental actors’ interests through concrete regulations and developing a dialogue and connections with public authorities and the French media.
Along with the agency, the UNPLV organized its 1st national rental vacation conference in March 2016 involving the sector’s key protagonists - 300 participants -, during which the 1st charter was officially signed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. A second UNPLV conference is planned in September 2017 to further amplify the association’s actions.
Thanks to Grayling’s long-term actions, the sector’s actors are now fully recognized and involved in the public debate like other sectors such as hotels. The association is fully integrated into the public debate and process in the scope of the 2017 French Presidential campaign. Its awareness had been hugely increased in the French media.
The Awards ceremony will take place on May 31st at Hôtel Le Plaza, in Brussels.
