SHARE NOW rides with Grayling Austria

SHARE NOW, the global market leader and pioneer in free-floating car sharing, has appointed Grayling, Austria’s No. 1 communications agency, to provide comprehensive corporate and product communications support. Grayling already successfully accompanied the merger of car2go (Daimler) and DriveNow (BMW) to form the mobility joint venture SHARE NOW last year.

In February 2019, BMW and Daimler merged their car sharing services and became the world’s leading provider of free-floating car sharing. Today, SHARE NOW provides a fleet of BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI and smart cars in 25 major cities around the world.

In Vienna, 1,400 of the latest BMW, Mercedes-Benz, MINI and smart models – including convertibles and electrically powered vehicles – are available to customers. Since November, the 1,400 cars have been available for rent via the new SHARE NOW app. Since the merger between car2go and DriveNow, the car sharing service area in Vienna has expanded to a total of 102 square kilometres.

The mission of SHARE NOW is to make urban mobility more sustainable, in close cooperation with city stakeholders. Thanks to the combined know-how and resources of two strong car sharing services, SHARE NOW aims to inspire even more people in urban areas to use innovative mobility services in the future.

“Vienna is one of the most important locations in Europe for us. That is why we rely on a strong local – and, at the same time, internationally oriented – partner for our communications, who together with us will strengthen our position on the market”, said Niklas Merk, press spokesman at SHARE NOW. “Grayling convinced us with a holistically integrated communication concept and the creative implementation of their ideas. Already in the previous merger process we were able to successfully implement many exciting projects together with the agency”.

“For us, the mobility market is one of the most dynamic fields of communication. Especially in cities, individual mobility – and thus society itself – will change completely over the next ten years. Therefore, SHARE NOW, as the global market leader, fits perfectly into the portfolio of our innovative industry and mobility unit, headed by Unit Director Moritz Arnold”, said Sigrid Krupica, CEO Grayling Austria.
