Public Affairs Work Experience opportunities - London

Grayling’s fast-growing public affairs team is always looking for ambitious students and recent graduates to join the team for two weeks of work experience. This is a great opportunity to work in an enthusiastic team, developing a number of key skills, and adding to your CV.

Successful applicants will work on a number of our flagship client accounts, including some of the country’s most recognisable organisations (a full list of our clients can be found on the APPC register). Grayling has a prestigious public affairs and planning practice and was named Consultancy of the Year at the Public Affairs Awards 2016.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Media and political monitoring

  • Producing research briefings on a diverse range of topics

  • Writing biographies of key stakeholders

  • Helping to organise events

  • Liaising with MPs’ offices

Essential candidate requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • A good political knowledge, and a strong interest in current affairs

  • A strong eye for detail

Desirable candidate requirements:

  • Be studying or have studied Politics, or equivalent, at university

  • Experience working with a political party, Member of Parliament, or inside another business

  • Existing experience in an agency or in-house public affairs environment
