DENVER, Dec. 10, 2014 — Grayling, a leading global communications and public affairs firm, today announced Steven Palmer, managing director of its Denver office, will also serve as head of the U.S. State and Local Government Affairs practice.

“Grayling’s U.S. state and local government affairs practice is one of our cornerstone competencies,” said Peter Harris, CEO of Grayling U.S. “Clients select Grayling to look after their interests in state capitols for our policy expertise, trusted relationships and strategic insights. Clients know and appreciate the fact that we are battle tested with a proven track record of helping impact business outcomes.”

Palmer brings more than two decades of public affairs experience with business leaders, governors and elected officials at all levels of government throughout the United States. “I’m excited to take on this new role and continue Grayling’s upward trajectory in its government affairs business nationwide,” said Palmer.  “For years, our company has played a role in nearly every major policy debate at the federal, state and local levels of government.  It’s an honor to work with this team advancing policy and business objectives for the most innovative organizations in the world.”
